A NEW CHAPTER FOR AN ICONIC HOTEL
Located in Copenhagen’s historic Latin Quarter, Hotel SP34 has been reimagined into a contemporary boutique destination where design, hospitality, and atmosphere come together. Part of Brøchner Hotels, the hotel combines understated luxury with a relaxed, bohemian sensibility, creating a refined retreat for both travellers and locals in the heart of the city.
SCANDINAVIAN SIMPLICITY WITHA BOHEMIAN SPIRIT
The interiors, designed by Danish architect and designer Morten Hedegaard, balance clean Scandinavian aesthetics with warmth and character. Conceived for the modern “luxury bohemian,” the design embraces simplicity, comfort, and authenticity rather than excess. Across guest rooms, lounges, and social spaces, the atmosphere feels calm yet vibrant.

THE RETURN OF MENTON
At Hotel SP34, LYFA introduces MENTON by Simon P. Henningsen — a sculptural pendant originally created for Tivoli’s Hanging Gardens in Copenhagen and now released for the first time beyond its original setting. Crafted from lightweight aluminum, the pendant is defined by its vertical slats, forming a distinctive rotor-inspired silhouette that combines movement, rhythm, and geometry.

ARCHITECTURAL CHARACTER
The design traces back to Henningsen’s experiments in Menton, South France, where he developed lighting concepts inspired by subtle movement and atmospheric play. At SP34, MENTON brings this same sense of wonder into the interiors, casting soft rhythmic reflections that shift gently throughout the space. The result is a dynamic yet calming lightscape that complements the hotel’s relaxed sophistication and architectural character.

ATMOSPHERE DESIGNED TO LAST
Hotel SP34 reflects a contemporary approach to luxury, where experience is shaped through materiality and human connection rather than formality. Scandinavian restraint is softened by layered textures and carefully curated details, allowing the hotel to feel both timeless and personal. Designed to evolve naturally over time, the interiors embrace comfort, patina, and authenticity as part of the guest experience.
