Nature and Design
Danish flower artist Nicolai Bergmann’s Tokyo Flagship Store has recently undergone a complete interior renewal and officially reopened in January 2023. An abundance of natural light flows through the interiors with concrete-based ceilings and walls. At the same time, the numerous clouds of different-sized NINOTCHKA pendants make a stunning display and cast light on the oakwood flower tables, pedestals and counters, beautifully illuminating the space.
A Timeless Design Icon
NINOTCHKA is a genuine and easily recognizable design icon designed by Bent Karlby in 1954. When giving shape to this lamp, Bent Karlby had taken note of an eye-catching hat worn by the Swedish Hollywood star Greta Garbo in her 1939 film Ninotchka. With its seemingly asymmetric drapes, the organic body ensures functional direct downlight and diffused ambient uplight.
A Fresh Take on Floral Elegance
With its simple yet sophisticated interior design, the flower boutique Nicolai Bergmann Flowers & Design is always ready with a lineup of seasonal fresh flowers. Additionally, limited items, earth-coloured preserved flower objects and so on, only available at the flagship store, welcome visitors to a new style of flower design experience.
Are you in the mood for food or drinks, the Flower Café, Nicolai Bergmann Nomu, offers a relaxing experience in a space where beautiful fresh flowers are always in bloom, from where you can enjoy the beautiful NINOTCHKA pendants.
